Well, we are now at the end of another working week. For me, as someone who is retired, one day tends to merge into another and I find myself surprised when I realise that the weekend is near. I have attempted to reserve my Friday posts for “Outfit of the Week” updates, but, yet again, I have spent the week in pyjamas. Unfortunately, I have had quite severe issues with my back for a while and the pain has been really awful this week. As Lovely Husband has struggled with his back for a very long time, he has been able to help me with appropriate exercises and meds. I just hope that the pain goes away soon.
On Monday, I showed you some possible Hermès shawl options as I am planning to purchase one during the second half of this year. I still haven’t decided which one I like the best, despite suggestions on this blog and on Facebook. There doesn’t seem to be a consensus!
These were the options that I posted on Monday:
Kawa Ora H243274S 07 Bingata H243530S 07 Kawa Ora H243274S 12 Jardins de Soie H243534S 11 Bingata H243530S 09 Jardins de Soie H243534S 01 La Danse des Amazones H243593S 08 Les 12 Leopards H243762S 07 La Danse des Amazones H243593S 06
Since I uploaded Monday’s post, I have found out that the two Kawa Ora shawls are not available from the Hermès online shop, so that rules them out for me. As it is such a huge purchase I have to make the correct choice and I wish I could travel to London and try on loads of the shawls!
Anyway, there are definitely a couple of designs and colourways in the running and I am going to leave a hint here! When I was 21, my parents bought me this silver charm bracelet for my birthday and, over the years, I have added lots of charms that really mean something to me. These bracelets have now gone out of fashion and I haven’t worn it for years. I even have more charms that need to be fixed on to it. So, I just came across it again when tidying my dressing table and enjoyed a few moments reminiscing about the occasions that the charms represent for me…
… and one of them relates to a possible scarf choice. Can you work out which one?

OK, that’s all for this week.
I do hope that you all have a good weekend!
Love and best wishes,
Anne

I think the charm bracelet links up to Les Danse des Amazones. My pick of the scarves for you is Amazones colorway 08, although I think Bingata 07 would be a nice change of pace for you and would still go well with blues and gray clothing that you like. Enjoy whichever you chose.

Hi, Carole, thanks for your help. Yes, I am thinking of Amazones as I nearly bought it as a silk 90cm. You must be psychic, however, as I also love the pink Bingata! I really need to choose soon in case they go out of stock, but I can’t make up my mind.

Hi Anne, I am only now writing this comment, but trust me, I have been pondering the same question ever since the new season started trickling in on H.com.
I am also following PF thread on FW2021 and it is not helping…. I had my eye on the Les 12 Leopards as well, but in a different cw than yours. My pick would be 08, because I like the more natural and neutral palette. I am still debating the purchase though, it is a lot of money for what it is. On the other hand, it is still within reach for me, as luxuries go, with some budget stretching. The main question I always ask myself – would it make my heart sing? Is it better or different enough from what I own? Colours and design must be perfect – if they are “almost” good I will only see $$$ and not the beauty. This is just my thought process, and it is not watertight – I am perfectly capable of jumping on something due to FOMO. So, maybe it is another question – would I be willing to pay over retail for it later on at resellers’ sites?
And, finally, if I sensibly forgo H and buy something else, would it be an extra expense as I would go back to H anyway?
You know your decision making process best, and I just wanted to tell you that you are not alone in having such hard time deciding…
Take care and good luck with everything!
with kind regards,
Aneta
P.S.
I forgot to comment on your earlier post about reading on iPad outside. I cannot do it either due to glare, and Kindle paperwhite from amazon was a gamechanger for me. it is just so much easier on the eyes, not only outside but also in bed, etc. Highly recommended! I am not a person who likes gadgets but having both the iPad and kindle make sense for me.
BR,
A.

Dear Aneta, thank you for your lovely, thoughtful comment. I am still undecided, even after all this time! I reckon that this means I should wait until something really sings to me. Perhaps next season. Also, thanks for the Kindle suggestion – I will bear that in mind.
Best wishes, Anne X
