Friday post 28/06/24: managed to leave the house!

Friday is here again! Not that it makes much difference when you have retired. Anyway, I am feeling quite proud of myself today. You see, yesterday I managed to go out by myself! That is such an achievement for me these days. Because I spend so much of my life in bed, I am developing agoraphobia. I feel so scared to leave the house. It’s where I feel safe and comfortable.

So, I had planned to go into town and get my hair cut. I was nervous about going, but Elder Son usually comes with me as a support. Our local bus service is very infrequent, so we also have to use taxis. Since my stroke in 2019 I am unable to drive. ES helps me negotiate everything and I am so grateful. We also had plans to go to a café after my haircut for a treat!

Well, plans don’t always work out, do they? I am not going to explain what happened, but I ended up going on my own and the café visit didn’t happen. I did wear a lovely outfit, though!

Here are the usual before and after photos…

Yes, I finally was able to wear the lovely Ancient Columns outfit by One Hundred Stars. This is a reminder of how the two items, a kimono and a dress, look…

I had planned the whole outfit: bronze leather sandals by K Shoes, gold earrings, enamel and rose gold bangle by Liberty of London, and a silver and pewter leather Diane handbag by Massaccesi…

Outfit of the day 27/06/24

We will definitely have to plan another trip into town, after all I must have an opportunity to have tea and cake! Oh, and wear another lovely outfit that I have planned in my head.

Happy Weekend to you all.

Love and best wishes,

Anne
