Outfit of the day 15/03/19

This week has gone quickly! I haven’t been out of the house since last Friday’s counselling session and pub lunch with Lovely Husband and Younger Son, so it has been very nice to be able to go out today.

I decided to wear a dress for a change. In fact, I bought this one about a year ago (I already had the same one in navy), during the sales, so it was about time that I gave it an airing. I had originally intended to accessorise the dress with my gorgeous Hermès Sweet Dreams scarf, but the blues do not quite work together, for some reason. Instead, this lovely cashmere and silk shawl from Liberty was just right.

After counselling, we went to a nearby hotel for a scrumptious lunch. We used to go there quite often as we were members of their gym and swimming pool. Their restaurant was, and still is, really fab and the staff are lovely. I felt really hungry today and so had a medium plate from the carvery; Lovely Husband had a posh version of fish and chips 😀.

Today’s outfit:

  • Cobalt blue merino dress – Lands’ End.
  • Crystal and gold stud earrings.
  • Blue resin, leather and gold bracelet – The Grand Tour Collection.
  • Cashmere and silk shawl, 140cm, in blue, purple, lilac and navy – Hera – Liberty of London.

I had a bit of a dilemma over footwear. Whilst in my bedroom, I put on my black leather heeled ankle boots by Clarks – I thought that they looked pretty good. But, after staggering downstairs wearing them, I decided that the heels would be too much and so swapped into my navy suede ankle boots by Duo Boots. I think that was the correct decision in the end!

I do hope that these strong winds die down soon; we have rubbish and all kinds of stuff blowing around the street.

Best wishes to you all for a great weekend,

🧡💚❤️💜💙💛

I found your blog through researching Hermes scarves via the Purse Forum. I really enjoy reading about your scarves and fashion accessories. I also love cashmere and the way you maintain an interest in fashion even while ill, and books of course. The scarves are beautifully tied showing the patterns to the best advantage. I still haven’t bought one yet. I keep changing my mind on which one to get. I also like the pieces about visiting pubs and such, so village life. Your skin is in amazing condition, very English rose, if you want one asset to play up, that is it.
