At last, I have been to the hairdresser today! My last haircut was at the end of April, so you will understand why I really needed another one. Elder Son came with me in the taxi, sat chatting whilst my lovely hairdresser worked a miracle, and then helped me down the road to a pretty tearoom where we had lunch. Then we had fun dodging heavy showers (we didn’t bring brollies as rain was not forecast that early!). I am now back in bed recovering after the taxi ride home.

Amazingly, the hairdo seems to have survived the damp quite well…

Yet again, it looks miles better in real life as the silver hairs seem to disappear in a photo. This lovely scarf in orange, white and blue was again tied using a MaiTai scarf ring, using the navy blue side.  BTW, two of the corners say  “She Was a Bookworm” and “A Feminist at Heart”, so this scarf could have been made for me!

Family news is that we have been trundling along with very few dramas (so far!) this week. Apart from today’s “adventure” I have mainly kept to my bed as I seem to have flopped now that Lovely Husband is more mobile. I have also somehow managed to injure my shoulder, probably from carrying heavy rubbish bags out to the bin. So I am very tired indeed.

Nevertheless, we are all trying to remain cheerful and occupied.
