Friday post 02/10/26: With a green velvet dress!

The weeks really roll past very swiftly these days! I am finding it difficult to believe that we are now in October and that I am only a month away from my 70th birthday.

I am hoping to be well enough on the day to go out with my family for a lovely pub lunch. My health issues may prevent me from leaving the house, but we shall see. Anyway, I have been looking for a nice outfit to wear on the day, together with the new hearts necklace which I have commissioned from a local jeweller. I have been searching all over for a suitable dress. Many years ago I had a gorgeous one from Laura Ashley in green velvet. As my eyes are green, I thought it would look good to have a new dress in that colour.

So, I found this dress on the Seasalt Cornwall website…

Oak Cottage velvet dress by Seasalt Cornwall

The dress is the Oak Cottage velvet dress in Spliced Abstract Loch (what a strange name for a colour!). I am really looking forward to its arrival and trying it on. Hope it works with my recent weight gain!

Should I wear it with my new scarf, or would that be too much? Here’s a reminder of the scarf…

I will let you all know my verdict on the dress next week.

Happy Weekend!

Love and best wishes,

Anne
