This is going to be a very quick post today. I am happy to be able to write that last weekend’s upheaval with no central heating, hot water, or cooker hob was fully resolved on Monday. The gas engineers from British Gas were here for hours and had to cap off the old gas pipes and install new ones. It felt so lovely when they turned the heating back on!

Because of these issues, we had to cancel the deep clean which we had booked for Monday. I have been struggling to unpack from the move and keep on top of all the housework (Lovely Husband can’t help much because of his physical disabilities), so we decided that we needed to find a cleaner who could do a thorough clean and then come back every fortnight to keep the house spick and span. Anyway, the cleaning company is now rebooked for next Monday, so I am keeping my fingers crossed that everything goes well.

Oh, one final thing: the hearts necklace that I planned with the local jewellers has been hand delivered today. I am really thrilled with it! Just after it arrived, I took some photos of it in the box but I am not going to show them on here yet. You will have to wait until my birthday in November!

I must admit that I am currently hankering after another scarf. It really is an addiction, isn’t it? I can’t stop thinking about it. Then I remind myself about how expensive it is! It might be the one below, or it might not…

I already have this in another colourway and I have quite a few blue scarves in my collection. But those blues 💙💙💙💙💙!
