Outfit of the day 17/05/18

I am totally on a roll this week! We went out again yesterday and even managed lunch out. I am so pleased 😀😄😄.

Lovely Husband had a follow up appointment for his cataract operation at the optician’s and I went with him as he likes to have my help with choosing new glasses. Even though it was a bit of a struggle to get out of the house, once I was actually in the car I began to feel a little bit stronger. When we left the optician’s I suggested lunch and so we drove to a nice country pub. I really hope that this really good phase lasts and lasts!

There has been a bit of a reaction today and I am rather tired, but I have still managed to do a few useful jobs around the house. Tomorrow, I have an appointment about my osteoporosis at the large city hospital, which means getting up very early indeed and a fairly long drive. I will try really hard to get there, but, if I am unable to do so, Lovely Husband will conduct the appointment with the consultant by phone on my behalf.

Anyway, as I have stayed in my pyjamas today, here is yesterday’s outfit:

  • Navy cotton crew neck t-shirt – Sainsbury’s Tu.
  • Cobalt cotton mix cardigan – Lands’ End.
  • Indigo jeans – Cotton Traders.
  • Bright blue resin and silver earrings.
  • Bright cobalt enamel and gold Curb Chain bangle – Halcyon Days.
  • Silk scarf, 90cm, in blue, green, mauve and white – De la Mer au Ciel – Hermès. Tied in an asymmetric wrap to show off the lovely white contrast hem.

Oh, I still need to show you my other small purchase from the other week. As you may know by now, I am hugely enamoured of Liberty of London’s Hera design with its peacock plumes. I had dreams of peacock feathers stuck in my head and, when I saw the brooch below on eBay, I simply couldn’t resist! It was very inexpensive, but pretty with small crystals in teal and sky blue set into antique gold tone metal with a large central stone in cobalt blue. The size is perfect at around 8cm by 4cm and it will look lovely against teal, turquoise and darker blues.

Now I am off to water the money tree, as they say on The Purse Forum…

Best wishes,

💜💙💚❤💛

Thank you 😊 I am trying to make sure that I actually wear my accessories this week. I have managed to go out four times since Friday, which is a record for 2018!
