I hope that you all had a good weekend. Things were reasonably OK in our household, although I still wasn’t well enough to go out. I think I am getting a bit stir-crazy!
Anyway, I had intended to keep this purchase until Christmas as a present to myself, but I have never had any patience at all. I wanted to wear my new “lilac” (as described by Marks and Spencer) cashmere v-neck jumper today and so I put it on this morning. I wrote “lilac” in the previous sentence because I think the colour is closer to mauve. Whatever, it is a lovely heathered shade and goes beautifully with loads of my accessories as you will see in the collages below.
When I was sorting through my cold weather clothing, I realised that some of my old cashmere items were getting too small or were full of moth holes! I saw this new jumper as a nice way of filling a gap and also including another piece that would look great with my growing collection of purple and mauve accessories. My Massaccesi Victoria handbag is an exact match 😍😍😍, even if it doesn’t appear so in the collages.
Here are the Hermès scarves that will look great (the colours of some of the photos here, including the jumper, are not quite true to life):
Hermès scarves, clockwise from top left: L’Arbre du Vent, Escales Mediterranéenes, Coup de Fouet au Bloc twilly, Dans un Jardin Anglais, Jaguar Quetzal.
And here are some other accessories and scarves:
Finally, you can see my Victoria handbag and other accessories:
- Mauve cashmere v-neck jumper – Marks and Spencer.
- Navy cotton stretch cord trousers – Lands’ End.
- Navy suede ankle boots – Duo Boots.
- Amethyst and gold botanical style earrings – craft centre near Torquay.
- Multi colour enamel and rose gold Hera bangle – Liberty.
- Cashmere And silk shawl, 140cm, in blues, peach, mauve – Hera – Liberty.
I am not sure that I put this outfit together very well. I thought that the shawl would work as it has touches of the same mauve colour as the jumper, but the blues are not quite right. Never mind, it was a nice outfit to wear.
