I am sort of cheating today as this is the outfit I wore last week, when I went with Lovely Husband to his hospital appointment. I want to show it to you then ask for advice…
Oufit:
- Navy cotton vest – Sainsbury’s Tu.
- Navy and white linen trousers – Isle Collection.
- Navy leather sandals – Suave.
- Pearl stud earrings – John Lewis.
- Blue iris leather Vara Bow bracelet – Ferragamo.
- Shades of blue, modal and viscose kimono jacket – China Tree – One Hundred Stars
I forgot to take a photo last Thursday as I was so worried and nervous, so I cannot make a collage, but I felt really comfortable and happy in the oufit. The kimono jacket is lovely and I am thinking about maybe getting another one when I see one in “my colours”. Anyway, I want to ask my readers for advice. I was getting bored with the earrings I already have which go with this jacket: white pearl, blue resin and, of course, gold or silver. I thought that something more oriental would look better, so I searched both eBay and Etsy and found the items below:
The top photo shows earrings from 6195shirley on eBay. They have gold tone wires, Chinese-type character blue and white beads, and long blue tassels. And I mean long, very long indeed. The photo below shows the earrings I found from Emma Amies on Etsy. These have silver wires and each earring has two blue and white floral beads, which again look vaguely oriental.
What I want to know is: can I get away with wearing the long tassels at my age? Do they look OTT or silly? What do you think and please be honest!
Here I am wearing both:
I suppose that I could make one of the tassel earrings into a necklace, which would look nice, or even shorten the tassels, which I am sure I would mess up!
Decisions, decisions…
Best wishes,
💙💙💙💙💙
The pair of the right are perfect for you and flatter your faceshape!!!

I personally prefer the beads, but see nothing wrong with the tassels.
