I am feeling quite pleased with the world after the last few days. Tiny positive things have really helped my state of mind.
On Friday, I finally managed to go through with a procedure with the Dental Hygienist to have my badly stained teeth sorted. I have wanted to do this for years, but was really scared as I thought it might cause a massive cough. Well, it got very close at times, but I was able to cope (I was going to write “I gritted my teeth”!). I am so pleased with the result and will not be so afraid next time. And there will be a next time as I simply cannot give up tea! Readers from outside the U.K. will probably be bemused by how badly we Brits look after our teeth.
Over the weekend, I was successful in two out of three eBay auctions, netting two lovely items at a fraction of the full price. One, a Halcyon Days bangle, will be given to one of my sons to give back to me for my birthday. That’s how I make sure that I get what I want! A bit cheeky, I know, but my lads are happy with the system. The other item is a Liberty of London shawl, which I will show on here when it arrives.
Today I managed to go for a walk around the block by myself – the first time in months. Although the drop in my steroid dose is supposed to help me lose weight, I also need to improve my exercise levels to support that attempt and to regain some fitness. I will try to do the same tomorrow.
Today’s outfit:
- Silk mousseline stole in navy, orange, deep red, brown and purple – Leopard and Feathers – Ferragamo.
- Bright navy, cotton mix, short-sleeved top – Lands’ End.
